ABOUT US

IHMCo are experts in the professional assessment and explanation of marine incidents, occurrence and damage.

Our continual mission is to provide expert, qualified opinion. We achieve this through high-end survey and investigation and through desktop analysis of claims and documents. and then we issue clear, expert reports to assist clients to act accordingly.

We work closely with insurers, adjusters, claim handlers, lawyers, underwriters and owners to mitigate risk and to make sense of complex incidents and failures.

IHMCo also manage a variety of engineering projects including the management of new build guarantee claims, technical docking and superintendency for ferries, container, yachts, coastal and offshore vessels.

 

COVID 19 

During these unsettling times we continue to provide essential services to the marine industry. We are actively attending vessels all over Scotland for survey and inspection and conducting and aranging routine and emergency survey around the world utlising our numerous contacts.

We also continue to work from home by providing expert advice and opinion on a variety of unique and intricate cases.

We wish all our clients and contacts to stay safe and well during these difficult times.

REMOTE VIRTUAL SURVEYS

IHMCo now have indepth experience of conducting remote virtual pre-purchase, condition and H&M damage surveys on a variety of vessels worldwide. We have used live streaming (where possible) and we have employed a variety of other methods to obtain the necessary information.
